Thumper arrived to Tiny Hooves Sanctuary in summer of 2021. He was found as a stray on a frontage road to the interstate. A local woman allowed him into her horse barn, and eventually was able to confine him to a stall and give us a call to help. Thumper was absolutely terrified of humans in the beginning, and his first vet visit was quite difficult. Once he started to settle in and realized we weren’t going to use him for anything, and that he was getting regular routine yummy meals, you could see the worry start to melt away. It is quite likely that he was on a slaughter transport truck and escaped, but we truly don’t know where Thumper came from. We do know that he is happy and healthy with us here now, for the rest of his life!

Thumper loves to jump! He is always in our wheelbarrows, jumping on toys, and climbing onto our wagons. He has sprouted into a confident young man, who we look forward to getting to know even more as time goes on.
