Jackson
Jackson came to us in 2015 as a neglected, unwanted pet. He was living by himself in a dark barn, with no socialization or friends, no grooming, a limited diet, no vet care, and he was still intact (not gelded/neutered), causing extra behavioral issues. He was grossly overweight, and extremely aggressive. Jackson’s journey with us has been extensive, and began with a much needed gelding surgery. Once his hormones were in check, he became fast friends with George the mini horse. With the help from George and all of us humans, Jackson has slowly learned to trust us. He stopped biting, and started licking instead. He stopped kicking and bucking. He started running up to see us, accept our treats and love, and started returning it right back to us. Jackson has come such a long way, and he is a true example of what correct and proper care, endless love, and friendship can do! Some of Jackson’s favorite things to do are play with George, and run laps around his pasture. He is a big fan of ALL snacks, but really loves horse cookies, pumpkins, and green pepper slices.
