Chula came to Tiny Hooves Sanctuary in 2017. She was only 6 months old, and at the time we were attempting to build an adoption program. Chula was adopted to a wonderful home, with tons of space to roam, and another piggy to have as a friend. We did our due diligence by checking in every few months, and seemed things were going great for Chula! After 4 years of her in her new home, we received a call that her people were planning to move that week, and they were not bringing Chula with them. Contractually, they had to relinquish Chula back to us, which they did, and now Chula will stay with us for the rest of her life. Sometimes adoptive homes don't work out, and in the vision of keeping farmed animals safe, we have since cut our adoption program and choose to only provide forever sanctuary to those that need us. Chula is an absolute delight! She has very unique vocal expressions, and will do just about anything for a strawberry. She loves belly rubs, and words of affirmation while cuddling.
**Please do your research before you welcome a pig into your family. Pigs are complex animals. Even when you do everything just right, you can lose your pig friend due to zoning laws**
