King Ferdinand is very excited to share this news of BIG impact with you! Today on Thanksgiving 2024, we are coming to you with gratitude for the impact you all made with our 30k in 30 days campaign!
Thanks to all of you and your support, we exceeded our stretch goal and raised $38,273.68!

Why are we sharing the impact now?
Didn’t the campaign end Sept 30th?
That’s a great question! There are a few reasons that we are sharing this info now:
- It takes a while for some of our fundraising platforms to send us funds we have raised. We can’t spend funds we don’t have.
- We have to raise more funds before we spend these funds, so we don’t take our bank account to zero.
- All of these funds have been paid and cleared from our account, so we are sharing accurate information with you. We have the pay off letters for the shelters, and receipts for the vet bills.
- This is the best way for us to be fiscally responsible with the funds we have, until we are able to build up a “backup fund.”
YOUR IMPACT!
Paid a giant stack of invoices at Elkhorn Vet Clinic! - $4,757.25
Mailed a check to Purdue Large Animal Hospital! - $3,569.96
Paid off the balance for our waterfowl shelter! - $8,293.47 (saving about $6500 in interest!)
Paid off the balance for our goat shelter - $6,271.83 (saving over $5000 in interest!)
PaId for an emergency repair in our SkidSteer - $1,642.1 (so we can still feed the cows and do other work around the sanctuary.)
Continue to operate as a sanctuary for approximately 150 rescued farmed animals.

At Tiny Hooves Sanctuary, our mission is to provide a loving, safe haven for animals in need. Right now, we’re facing a critical challenge: we need to raise $30,000 for operating expenses, some of our larger shelter payments and other outstanding medical debt. This is essential to keep our doors open and continue offering the care our animal family relies on.

How will we spend $30k?
Right now, times are incredibly tough, and we are literally fundraising for each bill we pay. We are raising 30K to keep our doors open and to help pay down some outstanding debt.
The first 15K will be spent on operating expenses. This will help us keep our doors open and providing daily sanctuary to over 150 rescued farmed animals.
Any additional funds will go towards paying down outstanding medical debt and larger shelter payments.
Operating Expenses Include:

Rent & Utilities
Payroll for 2 employees (all others are volunteers), Facilities & Admin

Outstanding Medical Debt:

While our medical debt is always changing as we are making payments and also providing additional necessary medical care, this is an estimate of our outstanding debt at the beginning of this fundraiser.

Shelter Payments / Payoffs:
Monthly Payments: $1,476.91
We have THREE shelters on payment plans ranging from 33 - 39 months remaining. Paying down these shelters will help us have less long term debt and less operating expenses each month. The chicken and waterfowl shelter purchases were in response to Avian Influenza and keeping our birds safe from predators, which is no longer possible in the barn and the courtyard.
